Ballet Classes for Adults

Whether your interest in dance is recreational or professional, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your technique and experience the joy of dance.

Grounded in the classical principles, my approach emphasizes musicality, balance, coordination, phrasing, placement, and line. I focus on ballet as a performing art, considering the dancing body as an expressive instrument for communicating with an audience.

Minnesota Dance Theatre, 2009

Since 1999, I’ve taught ballet for various schools and companies, including James Sewell Ballet, Minnesota Dance Theatre, Ballet Co.Laboratory, Minnesota Ballet, and Ballet Hispánico.

I draw from a varied training and professional experience, synthesizing influences from various schools of ballet as well as from contemporary dance, hatha yoga, and the Alexander Technique. My experience as a singer and theater artist also informs my approach, with special attention given to musicality and stage presence.
